The 2024 Give Her FlowHERSAwards, By: Heather Lowery sponsored by Spotify and Live Nation, was not just another awards ceremony. It was a celebration of women who have redefined what it means to be powerful, creative, and unapologetically themselves in a male-dominated industry. With performances that left you breathless and honorees who represent the future of music and culture, this year’s ceremony felt like both a tribute and a call to action.
Held at a breathtaking venue in Beverly Hills California and streamed to a global audience, the event was a beautiful reminder of the strength, resilience, and limitless potential of women in music. From legends like Jill Scott to emerging stars like Doechii, the night was a love letter to the voices that shape our world.

Chlöe x Halle: My Sisters’ Keeper: A nod to their unparalleled bond and mutual support in an industry that often pits women against each other. Their acceptance speech was as moving as their music. “We’re here because we’ve always lifted each other up,” said Chlöe. “Sisterhood is everything. Without it, none of this would be possible.”
Their success is a testament to the power of collaboration, and their award couldn’t have gone to two more deserving women who show us daily that strength is amplified when we stand together.

Speaking about paying it forward and women's empowerment...Miss Jilly From Philly herself was able to meet Ms. Zyah Belle. She is on a tour and is set to perform in Jill Scott's hometown of Philadelphia Pennsylvania on November the 20th 2024.

Zyah Belle captivated with a hauntingly soulful performance, her voice carrying the weight of generations before her.
Doechii: The Visionary Award
In a year where genre-blending is more than a trend, 4X GRAMMY- nominated artist Doechii has emerged as one of its brightest architects. The Visionary Award is her crown, one of many of course! One earned by pushing boundaries and channeling her artistry into spaces where few have ventured.
I had the privilege of sitting down with Doechii to ask her about what fuels her electrifying performances. When I asked how she channels her energy, she smiled, paused, then said, “Half of it im born with, and its just God given talent and energy, the other half is intention and the emotions I want other people to feel and thats how I move forward with my visuals." As you can see Doechii makes sure we all get lost in the moment together. It’s not just about performing. It’s about creating a shared experience she want's everyone to feel.
Her approach to performance feels like a direct challenge to conventional norms—her power comes from vulnerability, and the audience feels it in every beat.
Lady London: The Self Love Award
Lady London, with her unapologetic confidence and bold personality, was honored with The Self Love Award.
True to form, she arrived in a show-stopping ensemble—a mix of high fashion items. Her outfit, a boutique piece from LA, was paired with an archived Chanel neck piece that she created, an AP watch, and iced-out grillz. I joked, “When you love yourself, you can’t help but shine.” And shine she did, exuding a level of self-assurance that reminded everyone in the room that confidence is, and always will be, the best accessory.
Glorilla: The Big Femme Energy Award
Glorilla’s win of the Big Femme Energy Award felt like the night’s most electrifying moment. The rapper has become synonymous with high-energy, unapologetic, bold, and utterly authentic. From her early viral hits to her mainstream success, Glorilla has carved a space where women in hip-hop can be both fierce and fun, strong and vulnerable.

Industry Thought Leaders in the Room
It wasn’t just the award winners that made the night special. The Give Her FlowHERS Awards also brought together a slew of women who are leading the charge in the entertainment industry. Lisa Raye, the iconic actress and entrepreneur, was present to show her support. Dionne Harmon, a thought leader in entertainment diversity, was also in attendance, adding her voice to the ongoing conversation about inclusivity. Dionne Harmon, the president of Jessie Collins Entertainment, brought her own wealth of knowledge and insight, further reinforcing the theme that women are leading and shaping the future of entertainment. Including Shawnae Corbett-Rice SVP of Marketing at Warner Records.
As the final notes echoed and the lights dimmed, one thing was clear: the 2024 Give Her FlowHERS Awards wasn’t just about recognition—it was about setting a standard. It was about giving women the flowers they’ve earned, not just for their achievements but for their unrelenting commitment to reshaping the industry. It was a night that acknowledged the past, celebrated the present, and boldly looked toward the future. Always remember "No Rain No Flowers"
